The machine shop, now located in Chase's new addition, is fully equipped with a wide variety of tools for wood and metal fabrication, including a milling machine, tool-room lathe, heavy-duty drill press, large vertical and horizontal band saws, and a sheet metal shear. Standard and arc welding capability is also available for students and researchers. A 12′ x 12′ overhead door facilitates entry/exit of large fabricated items.  A dedicated master machinist is on staff to support fabrication activities.
